October Wedding Riverwood Mansion Nashville

Just thought I would share some photos from the beautiful wedding we did at Riverwood Mansion today! This was an extremely rewarding wedding to see "put together"! It was a wonderful honour to be involved!

Colourful Tulips!

Here are two Tulip bouquets! I love Tulips, they're a classic shape and their colours are vibrant! As they curve towards the light and are affected by Gravity, they can be more difficult to arrange. But for me, they are one of my top 10 all time favourite flowers and they look great as wedding flowers. They are available year- round but are most abundant in Springtime.

Hydrangea Bouquet

Here is a picture of a large bouquet made up of mostly Hydrangea, some Purple stock and purple Freesias! It's elegant, romantic and beautiful as well as very frangrant!

White Wedding

This weekend I designed a beautiful wedding, waiting on the photos from the actual wedding, but here's a sneak peak of the bouquets!

The bride wanted all white and blush. I love the idea of using inexpensive flowers, like babies breath and carnations, in an elegant way, they look so pretty. The three bridesmaids carried all different bouquets and the bride carried a mix of all the flowers from the bridesmaids bouquets! Such a lovely idea! They turned out beautiful too!

Stargazers!

They last a long time, smell AMAZING and just get better and better everyday at $2 per stem at the Nashville Farmers Market on Saturdays...there are usually at least 2 flowers on each stem..sometimes 3-4!

They're an inexpensive way to brighten up any room!

Here's two photos, this one is from Monday...bought on Saturday...

Tuesday....Even more flowers are blooming! Gorgeous!

Finally...Thursday!! Did I get my point across? Stunning!

Mayflowers @ The Nashville Farmers Market

Every Saturday from 9- around 2pm (when we usually sell out) Mayflowers can be found at a stand at the Nashville Farmers Market. We sell flowers starting at $1 per stem and Gift arrangements! Here's some pictures of a recent day at the market!

Pretty Hand Tied bouquet!

Fragrant Sweet Peas!

It's crazy to me that I sell very few stargazer lilies on Saturdays at the market...I think it may be because the are still in Bud and no-one can see just how gorgeous they are when the flowers open! So here's a photo...this bouquet would run $15-$18....

Bouquet of Stocks in water bubble presented Gift Bag

There's not always the need to buy more than a couple stems. Mini sunflowers look fun in bud vases!

For The DIY Bride!

I provide a bouquet making/ flower arranging lesson for the DIY bride who needs only a small amount of flowers for an intimate wedding! I can also order fresh flowers for the wedding day at a low cost!

From katherine Johnson (DIY BRIDE!)-

"My sister and I knew NOTHING about flowers or making flower arrangements when we met Emily a couple months before my July wedding. I'm not by nature an artistic sort of person, so I was a little nervous about trying my hand at putting together bouquets and a cake topper. Emily was absolutely fabulous! She was so welcoming to both my sister and me. She helped us choose flowers that were in season, reasonably priced, and relatively easy to work with. I really appreciated her insight and opinions into what we picked, but she was never once pushy. I left after one evening of "flower lessons" feeling really comfortable and excited about making my bouquets and a cake-topper. Anyone who wants to be involved in making their own flower arrangements, saving money, or just learning a good new skill should really consider talking to Emily."

And here are some pictures of the amazing job she did with the flowers for her wedding day!
